she could stand in this shower below running water whilst in his arms for no specific length of time, endless bliss searing through; forever seems a bit dramatic, but she nearly considers it. pepper finds comfort, a home within his embrace, and no sooner than does she return his gesture with steadying her forehead upon his own. ❛ like any other day, busy as usual, more so now since the press conference. you wouldn’t believe how many times i’ve been approached with the same questions, all regarding an extensive, extravagant wedding everyone seems to be fixated on. it was a nightmare. ❜ far less nightmare and more of a… hopeful wish. it hadn’t become apparent to her until recently how much the idea of matrimony with the man before her has entirely consumed her. 

one hand extends, ascending upward toward his shoulder, where her palm rests at the slope of his neck, fingertips absentmindedly toy with what few strands of hair reside there. ❛ i’ve been thinking a lot about you today, ❜ she starts, words delicately skate along his lips when she brings her pout ever so nearer. ❛ staying focused was quite difficult, i felt very challenged the rest of the afternoon after your visit. ❜ 

he adores the woman in his arms, and as she falls into him in return, he’ll find himself becoming more and more relaxed. pepper has that effect on him, for something as simple as her touch is enough to bring utter contentment over him, and indefinitely so. with her forehead against tony’s own, hand sliding up his arm and settling just at his shoulder and then at the nape of his neck, he’ll smile.   ❛ was it? i thought you’d get a kick out of answering possible future marriage questions. ❜   truth be told, tony’s already decided on that aspect of their life together, planning on possibly proposing within the next few days ( if not tonight ). 

but still they stand together, the two joined in ways he never knew possible or real. the smile in place upon his lips only grows, for pepper is now entering dangerous and PLAYFUL territory, such that neither will be able to come back from. granted, they’d both left one another in the midst of absolute ecstasy, so they have much to make up for.   ❛ yeah? tell me more. ❜   he loves to have his ego stroked, and most definitely by pepper potts, for she’s the one that knows how to do it BEST. hands are at her hips still, fingertips even curling into her bare flesh to hold her closer and more firmly against his own bare body.

Pepper was the first person to find out that Obadiah was the one who paid to get Tony killed. She found out that he was a murderer and she sat right under his nose, right in front of him, and gathers evidence against him. And she LOOKS OBADIAH IN THE EYE to tell him that Tony will be alright when Stane tries to say that Tony never really came back from Afghanistan. She looks at this murderer and she tells him that Tony will be fine because she’ll be damned if she ever agrees with anyone who implies that he isn’t. She might acknowledge his problems in private and call him out when they’re alone but she NEVER tells anyone else that he is anything but capable.

Pepper has always respected and loved Tony, even when she faced danger herself.
